Reuters Got Caught Fabricating the News. Period. Let’s get something straight right off the bat: Reuters flat-out lied about DOGE being “shut down.” They cobbled together a misleading headline using a chopped-up quote from OPM Director Scott Kupor, leaving out context, and presenting a half-truth as fact. Kupor himself had to step in and correct them, explaining that while DOGE may no longer operate as a centralized entity, the mission—cutting waste, deregulating bureaucracy, and rooting out fraud—continues across multiple federal agencies.
