In yet another jaw-dropping display of bureaucratic corruption, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) officials actively blocked investigators from accessing key financial records—records that, once uncovered, revealed a grotesque misuse of American taxpayer dollars. Investigators working for Senate DOGE Caucus Chairman Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) were repeatedly stonewalled when they tried to get a look at where the money was going. And when USAID finally relented, they forced the investigators to review the documents “under surveillance in a highly secure room at USAID headquarters,” despite the fact that none of the information was classified.
